At its heart, Purity is an album about the desperate search for Identity.
It is a stylistically diverse album, combining the catchiness of pop music, the edginess of electronic rock and metal, with a subtle undercurrent of musical and artistic experimentation.
Musically, Purity combines the moody melodic core of Sweet Painful Reality, mixes in some of the metal aspects of Empyreal Progeny, and sprinkles in a bit of musical risk-taking from Moira’s Lake. It focuses on electronic influences from the 80’s, 90’s and today using elements of synth pop, R&B, industrial and electro rock.
Lyrically, Purity explores themes of insecurity, purpose, and existential nihilism. The story follows a series of tragic personal events, sparking an intensely-introspective journey to understand who you are, and what you’re doing with your life.
